PayPal Re-enables Electronic Withdrawal Service in India

Hello Friends Paypal Re-Enable The Electronic Withdraw Option.Have A Look Below
PayPal India has built quite a reputation for pulling nasty surprises out of the blue. Three days back, they suspended indefinitely electronic withdrawal services or direct deposits in India. The good news is that something changed, and PayPal has re-enabled the crucial electronic withdrawal services.
As always, PayPal’s official announcement offers little explanation and simply apologizes for any inconvenience. “We want you to know that our customers are our #1 priority and we are working non-stop to improve our service to you”, wrote Dickson Seow from PayPal’s Corporate Communications team. The previously announced $5 refund for cheque withdrawals will also be continued for Indian users.
Needless to say, these out of the blue jolts have seriously damaged PayPal’s reputation. It’s hard to imagine PayPal being happy with the current situation either. Although we don’t know what caused the latest flip-flop, I will be surprised if the Indian government and regulatory bodies didn’t have a hand to play.

The Only 10 Modern Actors I Can Stand

I've put this off for long enough, it's time to bite the bullet and get it over with. The list was so hard to compile because I couldn't for the life of me remember anyone apart from the first 5! Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! These are the actors who almost made it onto the list: Hugh Grant, Hugh Laurie, George Clooney, Richard Armitage and Christian Bale.

No. 1 - Johnny Depp

I feel like most people (excluding Twilight fans...) would put Johnny at the top of their list. I usually hate that, as I'm not one for being a big fan of a hugely popular actor, but Johnny Depp just HAS to be at the top. He always delivers the greatest performance possible, and, regardless of whether the film is good or not, he is always too magnificent for words! ♥

No. 2 - Viggo Mortensen

Viggo will forever be my Aragorn. Of course, he has been in many other marvellous films - but my favourite will always be the LOTR trilogy. Of all the cast, I think he, along with Ian McKellen and Sean Bean, was the most perfectly cast. He was Aragorn...I utterly believed him -and was a little in love with him too. ;D Having said that, I believe him in all of his roles...

No. 3 - Russell Crowe

How magnificent is this man? I bow before him in wonder and awe. I know a lot of people think he's too serious and thinks he can do what he wants because he's really famous, but I completely disagree. I think it's a little bit like how so many are always like "Oh, Bette Davis was always bitching about everything and everyone, blah blah blah..." - that's not how I see it at all. She didn't bitch - she just spoke her mind and spoke it bluntly. If she was bitching, she wouldn't have been so blunt! So, yeah, that's quite similar to the Russell Crowe thing I think...

No. 4 - David Tennant

This list would not be complete with my darling David. (Cue fan girl squeees!) This man can do no wrong. Watch him in anything and you will not be disappointed. Doctor Who, Blackpool, Hamlet, Casanova....I promise you'll never tire of him!

No. 5 - Ewan McGregor

Ok, I admit it, he's here partly because of his roguish smile BUT he is an amazing actor too! Honestly, I just love him - and he seems like a such a sweet person in real life!

No. 6 - Tom Hanks

Just amazing. I have nothing more to say about him. Everything about him oozes magnificence and incredible talent! When he's on screen, you can't look at anyone else.

No. 7 - David Duchovny

I just love David - he's a wonderful actor, he's funny, he's sweet...and he got to work with Gillian Anderson *is jealous*! Gah, he's just marvellous!

No. 8 - Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones films alone merit him a place on this list. Oh, and not forgetting how immense he was in the Star Wars saga. Even though Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was absolutely rubbish, it was worth watching just for his coolness at 66 - he's one of those people who'll be cool when they're 100! (Yes, I use cool too much!!)

No. 9 - Heath Ledger

I can't believe it's 2 1/2 years since his tragic death! I'd only ever seen him in A Knight's Tale before his death, but now, having seen him in quite a few more films, I have such huge respect for him. He was a terribly mature actor, despite being so young.

No. 10 - Colin Firth

He often looks awkward and shy, but that's part of his charm! I think he's a wonderful actor, and at least one of his roles will always be remembered as the best portrayal of that character EVER - Mr. Darcy. Matthew Macfadyen, why did you think you could better him in that horrific mess of a film?

Ok, that's it. It seems to me this list is a bit of a mess, but never mind. It's over with now ;D Hope you enjoyed reading my ramblings and I hope that my overuse of the words "cool", "amazing" and "wonderful" didn't make you grimace too much!

A presto!

A few very eagle-eyed Megan Fox fans took notice of some pictures of Megan Fox that appeared on the ‘Net yesterday. She was out in Studio City with her husband and was wearing a green-colored “Voltron” t-shirt. 5 mistakes that may get your Resume trashed

In the current situation, it is very necessary for people to know the mistakes than can cost them an interview call. In an article published on Rediff, Kshpira Singh highlighted the five most common errors. These are outlined below:

A cluttered CV

CVs where people simply put all possible information and expect recruiters to scroll through them to find out relevant details. The only destiny these CVs have is getting the 'delete' key pressed and landing up in the trash bins.

HR people get hundreds of applications for a single position. They don't have the time to sift through your CV and see if each candidate suits their purpose. So, it is your job to make your CV as user-friendly, so that they can find the information they are looking for in a single glance. More after the break...

But, as always, never missing people willing to have fun with the mud, fun often ends with scantily clad people (look at the girls in the last picture) and making ridiculous. A Very Merry Birthday To You, Miss Clara Bow!

Clara Bow (Born: July 26, 1905 - Died: September 27, 1965) is my favourite actress (AND all time favourite flapper!) of the 20s, although Lulu is only second by a teeny tiny margin.

Clara's life wasn't all sunshine and roses by any means, and I often think that you can see that in her eyes. There's something in there that belies her happy, exuberant appearance. However, I don't want to dwell on the tragedies and misfortunes of her life...today should be a happy day!

If you've never seen one of her films then you've been missing out on a huge treat! ;D I suggest you get your hands on a copy of one of her films right away! My favourites are Helen's Babies(1924), The Plastic Age (1925), Wings (1927), It (1927) which gave Clara her nickname the "It girl", Call Her Savage (1932) and Hoop-La (1933), her last film.

I'm stuck for words (wonders will never cease!) to share with you my love of Clara. Really, you just have to see her in something yourself...and if, after that, you don't love her, well then, you're a lost cause! ;D

I'm going to stop aimlessly typing now, and leave you with some of my favourite photos of the birthday girl! A presto!

With her husband, Rex Bell.

I love this photo! All the bows are so clever and cute! ♥

This is possibly my favourite photo of her. It's so natural and she seems so happy...

Go Clara! ;D

Gina kicking off a football match in Geneva sometime in the 70s. I was watching some lovely interviews of Gina yesterday, and I highly recommend that, if you speak or understand Italian, you check out her Italian interviews. She's always 10x more relaxed, chatty and hilarious in them than in her English ones. Also, I found a really lovely French interview - I had no idea she spoke French too! Details of 100m Facebook users collected and published

Hello Friends Today I Had A News From BBC Channel That About 100 million Users Of Facebook Accounts Are Hacked And It Is Available At Priate Bay..Its So Unhappy To Happen Like That..So,Friends Be Careful Don't Join Or Give Your User Details To Others.
See The Link For Details From BBC Channel
BBC Channel

See This Below Story  Taken From BBC Channel:

 Facebook torrent
The torrent is attracting hundreds of downloads
Personal details of 100m Facebook users have been collected and published on the net by a security consultant.
Ron Bowes used a piece of code to scan Facebook profiles, collecting data not hidden by the user's privacy settings.
The list, which has been shared as a downloadable file, contains the URL of every searchable Facebook user's profile, their name and unique ID.
Mr Bowes said he published the data to highlight privacy issues, but Facebook said it was already public information.
The file has spread rapidly across the net.
On the Pirate Bay, the world's biggest file-sharing website, the list was being distributed and downloaded by more than 1,000 users.
One user, going by the name of lusifer69, described the list as "awesome and a little terrifying".
In a statement to BBC News, Facebook said that the information in the list was already freely available online.
"People who use Facebook own their information and have the right to share only what they want, with whom they want, and when they want," the statement read.
"In this case, information that people have agreed to make public was collected by a single researcher and already exists in Google, Bing, other search engines, as well as on Facebook.
"No private data is available or has been compromised," the statement added.
'Privacy confusion'
But Simon Davies from the watchdog Privacy International told BBC News that Facebook had been given ample warning that something like this would happen.
"Facebook should have anticipated this attack and put measures in place to prevent it," he said
"It is inconceivable that a firm with hundreds of engineers couldn't have imagined a trawl of this magnitude and there's an argument to be heard that Facebook have acted with negligence, he added.
Mr Davies said that the trawl of data fed into "the confusion of the privacy settings".
"People did not understand the privacy settings and this is the result," he said.
FacebookFacebook hit its 500m user in mid June 2010
Earlier this year there was a storm of protest from users of the site over the complexity of Facebook's privacy settings. As a result, the site rolled out simplified privacy controls.
Facebook has a default setting for privacy that makes some user information publicly available. People have to make a conscious choice to opt-out of the defaults.
"It is similar to the white pages of the phone book, this is the information available to enable people to find each other, which is the reason people join Facebook," said a spokesman for the firm.
"If someone does not want to be found, we also offer a number of controls to enable people not to appear in search on Facebook, in search engines, or share any information with applications."
But Mr Davies disagreed, saying the default settings should be changed.
"This highlights the argument for a higher level of privacy and proves the case for default nondisclosure," he said.
"There are going to be a lot of angry and concerned people right now who will be wondering who has their data and what they should do."
However, Mr Davies pointed out that this was something of an "ethical attack" and that more personal information, such as email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses had not been included in the trawl.
BBC Online readers have been sending us their thoughts on this story. Here is a selection of their comments.
I've reconnected with dozens of old friends, some of whom I hadn't seen in years, because it is possible to search for them on Facebook. There's not much point in signing up for it if you're just going to hide behind a wall of anonymity.
Cliff Smith, Exeter, UK
I don't see that Facebook has done anything wrong. They make it abundantly clear that you, the subscriber, are responsible for managing your privacy settings. If you don't know how to cook, you stay out of the kitchen. In other words, if you don't understand how to manage your privacy settings, don't sign up to Facebook.
Steve, Riverside, California, USA
I made a deliberate decision not to use Facebook because I don't trust it. It is obviously a frequently-attacked site, and I don't trust the company to resist the temptation to harvest the data they host.
Jane C, UK
What happened is that someone wasted hours compiling already available material and then posted it on the 'scary' Pirate Bay website, as if they were disclosing secrets of national security. It's no more alarming than finding the yellow pages in a brothel. If you want to meet friends and share information with the world then stop whining when the person looking over your shoulder can see it all too.
Mark Ford, East Grinstead, UK
I use Facebook to connect with family friends and co-workers. But I am not searchable, I do not share with 'friends of friends' and have not installed any of those silly side apps that share your info. Facebook is still too complicated for the average user.
Shannon, Winchester, California, USA
Large scale data mining exercises like this one are actually pretty common and easy to do. If you don't want people looking at your information, either don't make it publicly available or don't post it in the first place.
Ben, Manchester, UK

Fasten Your Seatbelts...The Results Are In For the Bette or Joan Poll!

Well, the results are in for the Bette Davis vs. Joan Crawford (doesn't "vs." make it more exciting!?). A BIIIIG thank you to everyone who voted!

I'm actually rather surprised by the results as I had anticipated the two ladies being head to head all the way. However, we can conclude from this poll that the majority of my blog readers are good old....

...BETTE DAVIS fans! She received 15 of the 17 votes cast.

Poor Joan is sulking now. This one time, though, I'll forgive her...wouldn't you be sulking if you'd only received two votes? ;D

I'm certain most of you know which of these two actresses is my personal favourite, but, as I told you, I bought a Joan Crawford box set today (and I really can't wait until it comes!), so perhaps I don't dislike her as much as you might think! ;D She'll never match Bette, though...

Once again, thank you to everyone who voted! :)

A presto!

I may just have bought one of the Joan Crawford box sets - EEK! Anyway, this is one of my favourite photos of Joan.

Oh, that reminds me: I must shout the results of the Bette vs. Joan poll from the rooftops very soon!

Hottest topic of the day...!
Paypal removing their electronic fund transfer to the Indian members from tomorrow onwards. This news is somewhat hot today. A lot of Indian members got a lot of worry by this update. Please read below..

In accordance with regulatory instructions, there will be a change in our withdrawal functionality in India starting on August 1, 2010. At present, you can request for either an electronic or cheque withdrawal of funds from your PayPal account. From July 29, 2010 onwards, you will only be able to request for a cheque withdrawal of funds from your PayPal account.
We sincerely apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused from this change and we are working hard to restore the electronic withdrawal service. In the meantime, we are bringing this matter to your attention so that you can plan your future withdrawal activities accordingly.
Our India users can find the cheque withdrawal process here. In order to help you deal with this change and until further notice, we will refund the US$5 cheque withdrawal fee to you for cheque withdrawals made on July 29, 2010 onwards.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused from this change in our withdrawal functionality. We will provide ongoing updates to you here. We thank you for your attention and patience as we work tirelessly to resolve this situation as quickly as possible.
So,Friends i have a lot of hope that this problem will solve quickly. If it is not solved, surely paypal will lose some Indian members, because most of them don't like check payments. I always prefer bank withdraws only. Now share about your views in this topic. Will it solved soon?

    Ok, Now I Feel Stupid

You may have noticed, and I really hope you DIDN'T, that I made a birthday post for Clara Bow today. I am so embarrassed my face actually felt like it was going to burn off in shame! ;D Anyway, the reason for this terrible mistake is because I somehow got it into my head that her birthday wasn't on the 29th anymore, it was on the 26th. When I suddenly realised that no.one.else.at.all. was posting Clara Bow birthday posts, I decided to check the date...and that brings you to where I am now. You could cook a roast on my face, it's so hot with embarrassment...

So, stay tuned for Clara's birthday post on the 29th!!

    Happy Birthday, Vivian!

    Happy 101st birthday, Vivian Vance!

Vivian, an actress of stage and screen, is most remembered for her fabulous portrayal of Ethel Mertz, Lucy Ricardo's best friend and landlady in the wonderful t.v. show I Love Lucy. I can't say how much I love Vivian...she has me rolling on the floor with laughter just by some of the looks she gives Fred (and Lucy, sometimes!). I think often people forget about her and William (Frawley), immediately thinking of Lucille and Desi when talking about the show, however, without the Mertz, I Love Lucy wouldn't be half as funny! :)
